Our History
In April of 1995, Mid-Canada Hydroseeding opened it doors by offering residential hydroseeding in the Winnipeg housing market. The flood of the century in the spring of 1997 introduced MCH to larger scale residential and small scale commercial hydroseeding jobs.
MCH quickly expanded to the commercial hydroseeding market by the spring of 1998, and had completed hydroseeding the Bishop Grandin / Waverly extension and the River Road resurfacing projects by the end of 1999.
- 1999 also marked the introduction of broadcast and drillseeding services being offered.
- In 2000 MCH further expanded to offer erosion control blanket installation as a new service to our growing customer base.
- In 2001 we undertook and completed our first large scale straw mulching project for Manitoba Infrastructure.
- In 2003 we started to work closely with our customers to insure compliance with the newly enforced Fisheries and Oceans laws focusing on erosion and sediment control on projects involving or located around water bodies.
- In 2004 we teamed up with an American manufacture of Turbidity and Silt Curtains and began to offer design build solutions for in water sediment control.
- 2005 marked the beginning of working on many projects involving the Manitoba Floodway Authority, on which we conducted drillseeding, straw mulching, silt fence, turbidity curtains, and hydroseeding operations.
- In 2006 we introduced the Enviro-loc system to central Canada as a green method of stream, river, and lake shore erosion control and restoration.
- In 2007 in response to our customer’s requests we began distribution of erosion and sediment control products, which included erosion control blankets, hydraulic mulches, seed, and sediment control products.
- 2008 marked our expansion in to bioengineering and shoreline restoration services, with numerous projects for Manitoba Infrastructure and Manitoba Hydro. With the wide scale adoption of the LEEDS green building system lead to our involvement in erosion in sediment control design, installation, and maintenance during the 2009 construction season.
We have steadily grown into the future over the past 15 years by focusing on our customers needs, and providing the best possible quality product with an expert installation every time.
